REVIEW: INNOXA Hyaluronic Hydrating Finishing Powder Translucent

Hi Beauties,

Today I will be reviewing INNOXA's Hyaluronic Hydrating Finishing Powder in Translucent. So let's just get straight into it!

Retail Price: $30.95 AUD for 15grams/0.53oz

What it claims: A translucent finishing powder infused with Hyaluronic Acid to set makeup and keep the skin hydrated throughout the day. Its lightweight formula ensures a radiant complexion and a smooth, shine-free finish. Dermatologically tested, Cruelty Free and Vegan Friendly.
It also states for best results: use a large brush to lightly sweep powder over your cheeks, forehead, nose and chin.

When I first saw this while wandering around in Priceline on a 50% off all cosmetics sale I was super excited to pick this up. For reference, my skin is Combo (Oily in the T-zone and Dry elsewhere). I've always like the dewy fresh skin look however, for an oily gal like me going a day without setting my foundation with a powder = a hot mess! Most setting powders I have used make my skin look very matte and crusty looking, so when I saw this hydrating powder it was a tick on my list!

My first impression of this product was the packaging is simple looking however it does looks nice. It comes with a face puffer/sponge and I like how the lid also acts as a mirror! However when trying to get into the product this is when things started to get messy and started to throw me off this product. I've never been a fan of loose powders as it has very fine particles (I don't think breathing in talc is good for you ://), is messy and not practical to carry around; and as I use this product that ideology continues.

WARNING
Opening this product is super messy!! Do not try to open this product close to your face or anywhere where you do not want white powder to be.

Although it claims to be a translucent powder, unfortunately it does leave a white cast especially if you apply it like the suggested way. However, using a beauty sponge to really press it in does help dull it down.

However, I do feel that it does live up to the name of being hydrating. I would say that it made my skin look hydrated and not dry and lifeless. Once I wear it throughout the day it makes my skin look amazing even though the oiliness does start to peek through. I would say the wearing power for this powder would be around 3-4 hours.

In conclusion for the price and size of the product it is worth it and would last for a long time.
I have seen other higher end products like this for example the By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder which retails for $89 AUD for 10g/0.35oz and that was another reason I decided to purchase this product.

I'm curious to try more Innoxa products in the future and I would like to hear other people's opinions and experiences with the brand. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below or what other products you would like me to review next!

I would like to thank you all for reading this post!

Until the next review,
